CCI Mechanical is Utah’s premier full‑service HVAC and Plumbing design/build contractor. CCI Mechanical has an opportunity for an HVAC Applied Chiller Technician in Salt Lake City, UT.

As an HVAC Applied Chiller Technician within the Service Department at CCI, you’ll take the lead on diagnosing, servicing, and overhauling centrifugal and air‑cooled chillers. You’ll represent the CCI brand directly with customers, ensuring exceptional service and reliable system performance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul chillers, pumps, and cooling towers.
• Support HVAC service needs for commercial and industrial facilities.
• Build strong, professional relationships with customers and facility representatives.
• Perform routine maintenance on chillers, towers, pumps, and air‑handling equipment.
• Use advanced tools, technologies, and engineering specifications to diagnose issues.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by accurately identifying and resolving equipment problems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree or certification in HVAC preferred.
• 5–10 years of HVAC facility maintenance experience.
• EPA Universal CFC certification (required).
• UA Journeyman card is a plus.
• Strong ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and technical documentation.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with BAS systems and energy management controls.
• Knowledge of centrifugal chillers and broad HVAC/mechanical systems.
• Strong organization and time‑management skills.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with ability to operate a company vehicle.

Physical Demands

This role requires regular standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, and lifting equipment up to 75 lbs. Vision abilities must include close, distance, color, and depth perception.
